I’m a senior at Yale studying English. I grew up around my mom’s DSLR camera and have dabbled in photography classes, experimenting with different forms of making pictures. I’m currently spending a lot of time with a large format film camera. Looking through the lens, I’m intrigued by the quiet moments in loud events, the candid smiles in staged photo shoots, and the ocean. I have photographed formals and banquets, groups for social media and website updates, people for graduation portraits, and odd jobs as they’ve come up. My care for the craft is rooted in a conviction that storytelling, both verbal and visual, holds power to inspire change.
